Some surveys say that as many as 80% of women wear the wrong bra size. A large proportion apparently underestimates their bust size by up to 4 to 5 sizes. This high proportion clearly shows us one thing: how difficult it is for women to know what their size
is, at any given time. Breasts can vary in size depending on hormonal level in the body, not only during pregnancy and lactation but also from from week to week.
When bras are too small, they get stretched out and lose elasticity in the straps and band. When they are too big, the bust is not supported.
The signs are that a bra is the wrong size are:
1. Your breasts bulge out under your arms
2. The back of the bra rides up
3. The centre gore of bra lifts away from the breastbone
4. The straps dig into the shoulders
5. The band pinches in at the sides
6. There is some breast spillage
7. Your breasts tend to sag
8. Breasts do not fill the cups
