As a follow-up to my last post Five Ways To Wear A Breton Top - Part 1 , which was about teaming your Breton top with trousers, today's article is about wearing them with skirts.
I chose different styles of skirts: pencil, skater, midi and maxi. As you can see, each and
every one of them goes well with a Breton top, which can either be worn loose or tucked in. The colours I picked look good too, from cream to red, orange and navy.
And who would have thought that you could wear prints with stripes, without it being too busy?
Light prints are acceptable, such as polka dots and rooster print, as seen on this board. Just remember to keep your accessories and jewellery pretty neutral though, to retain a chic look.
When it gets warmer, dig into your closet and swap your long sleeved Breton for a sleeveless striped top or vest. They will still look great with these skirts and the trousers from the last post.
This striped top acts as a neutral as it can be paired with many different styles and colours of bottoms. It never goes out of fashion, year in year out, summer through to winter. A breton top is a classic in my book, and for many other French women too.
Ladies, have you got yours yet?
