Do you have something you don't like about yourself, about your appearance? Do you constantly focus on it?
Focusing on what you don't like about yourself will affect your self-confidence and, of
course, how you dress. It makes you think that great style is not for you. What a shame.
Some women have told me: "It's easy for you Marie-Anne, you're tall, you're slim and you're French!"
But really this doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if you are not tall, not slim and of course not French.
There are many wonderful things about you and about your appearance.
Now that I am on Instagram,I regularly look under #confidencefromwithin. The posts and stories there are truly inspirational. I can't help but applaud truly wonderful women taking difficult and painful steps to create a better version of themselves.
So, think about your good points, things that you are proud of, or should be. If you came to me and told me: "I have nothing that I like about myself," I'm certain that I could find, within a second of meeting you, at least one thing that I love about you!
You could have a beautiful mane of hair, beautiful eyes, a warm smile, gorgeous hands, long legs or a great personality that shines through.
These are great things you should love about yourself and concentrate on. Find them.
Look at yourself in the mirror or think about yourself as if you were a different person and find all the things that you like about you. Believe me, there are plenty!
Start liking them, loving them. Stop thinking about and focusing on the parts that you don't like about yourself. We all have them. Don't you think that fashion models and Hollywood stars don't have these? Of course they do! Just like everybody else.
So, in order to boost your self-confidence, concentrate instead on everything that is good about you. There is plenty to love about you. Focus on that!
Let me know what you find out about you that you love and we can all share it and applaud it.
