Invited to a Thanksgiving dinner party?
Still don't know what to wear?
Read on for simple advice to get it right for your shape.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner and you are starting to fret. What will you wear for dinner?

You may already have a suitable dress in your closet but you are not sure whether it does anything for your shape.

Or you want to go shopping (better hit the shops soon, ma chérie) but don't know what you should go for.

The board I created, above, shows you dresses, specially chosen to fit each body shape. The secret is in emphasising your best features, of course, and play down the areas you are least happy with. If you want to get it right on the night, follow this advice before choosing which style of dress to wear.
Pear: I chose this red dress because, why wear black when you can wear red, right? Your smaller torso area will be emphasised by the wider neckline and the mid-sleeves. You can also show off your fantastic waist by wearing a contrasting belt. The A-line shape will flow over your hips and thighs, slimming them down in the process. Finish of with an eye-catching necklace!

Hourglass: For an hourglass body, the most flattering thing to do is to emphasise your well balanced silhouette, of course. What better then, that this dark red dress featuring a faux-wrap effect? This will showcase your bust to its best advantage and cinch your waist in one fell swoop. Your tummy will be nicely tucked in by the ruching, while the pencil style will give your legs real va va voom!

Apple: Be right on trend in this cobalt lace dress. The eye will be drawn to your top half, neckline and arms, which is great for you as your tummy tends to be your problem area. The lace and see-through sleeves add a touch of sexiness while remaining totally respectable, perfect for a Thanksgiving dinner with your family.

Rectangle: The satin fabric and style of this dress will give rectangle shapes a feminine look. The pleats at the neckline, and the belt that cinches the waist help to create curves to the body. I just love the band of black flowers on the left hand side, adding romantic detailing to this stunning dress.

Inverted triangle: Luxurious, lustrous and sumptuous. It's what springs to mind when you look at this emerald dress. The full skirt, round neckline and sleeveless cut help keep the upper and lower body in balance. The fabric in silk shantung and the gold belt ensure that you feel wrapped in pure luxury. You can give thanks now!

Whether you already have a dress that you can wear for your Thanksgiving dinner, or whether you have to rush around to buy a new one, I hope that this guide helped you choose the right piece for your shape. Enjoy your dinner party and your family and friends.
